Ice maker= garbage

Bought this unit one month ago and the icemaker from the water/ice dispenser has never worked. Since it's under warranty they are coming back for the third time to replace it. Freezer compartment ice make works fine. Top one is garbage. Otherwise the unit seems fine.

Bought an electrolux french door stainless steel refrigerator with the ice dispenser in the door, microwave and gas slide-in range at a high-end appliance store (for contractors only) 3 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with our refrigerator and range. Ice machine serviced twice a year since purchased. We do have the 1st generation, however, my in-laws liked the french door style and bought a newer generation last year and have had multiple issues with the ice maker. Our problems range from no ice, to melting ice (always!) noisy ice maker, moldy ice, replacing the entire ice maker, software issues....shall I go on? I had to have my fancy sliding oven rack replaced in just over a year because the bearings just stopped working. The Min-2-Max burner is useless! I have expensive All-Clad pans, and that burner takes FOREVER to get anything boiling! The other burners work fine. The gas oven does not cook evenly, worse with convection on. So disappointed! Wish we had spent the extra $$$$ to get Kitchenaid appliances. These are a huge frustration and waste of money! No problems with the microwave, but microwaves don't usually go bad!

I would rate it zero stars but that is not allowed. So upset with this fridge that I had to track it down every where it's being sold and let the world now about this piece of junk. My original review of this product is on sears.ca. The icemaker is junk. It broke twice under warranty. Repaired each time. I had a choice of extended warranty and I chose not to because I thought the defective ice maker was replaced so it couldn't possibly break again. It did, right after the warranty was up. It will cost $480 to have it replaced. The storage compartment for meats/wines etc does not keep its temperature. It says it can store meats (deli meats I assume) and I set it at deli meat storage temperature only to have the meat go bad. Now, I usually only keep stuff like milk and eggs in there short term. Water dispenser dispenses warm water. It looks very pretty though, but don't let that fool you.UPDATE: Class action lawsuit details[...]
