Cheaply made, lousy warranty and customer service

I was reluctant to buy LG because of previous experience with customer service but had no choice - this model was the only one to fit my small kitchen perfectly.I bought the fridge from Home Depot in November 2012.The plastic door stopper broke off after 7 months. Guess what? That part is only covered for 30 days. LG customer service told me to buy the part from their part store and after extensive lookup gave me the wrong part number. Luckily, I hung up after they transferred me to the store and did a little research, eventually ordered 4 stoppers from Best Buy's part store.Here's a business lesson from LG: use cheap materials for moving parts and don't include them in the warranty.I don't think I will buy LG in the future. There are better choices in both appliances and electronics.

LG is super

We bought ours from Home Depot and we love it. The ice maker is where it should be - in the freezer compartment and its no sweat to open the drawer and get the cubes. More than we need overnight. Efficient - our electric bill dropped when we replaced our 10+ year old Sears machine. Quiet, and it beeps when the door is left open too long as a reminder. We were restrained in the size by the space in the cabinet so had to but according to size. The old machine had water and ice in the door and that's terribly inefficient and the change is absolutely no problem. We use the filtered water from the sink anyhow. Highly recommended, even though we bought the extended contract because we were not familiar with the LG experience. Buy it.

I love it!

This 19.7 cu.ft LG refrigerator fits our space in the kitchent. it looks pretty nice, roomy and well made, and works like a charm, very quiet! We love it!
